Together we will create brave space.Because there is no such thing as a “safe space”—We exist in the real world. We all carry scars and we have all causedwounds. In this spaceWe seek to turn down the volume of the outsideworld,We amplify voices that fight to be heardelsewhere,We call each other to more truth and love.We have the right to start somewhere andcontinue to grow.We have the responsibility to examine what wethink we know.We will not be perfect. This space will not be perfect. It will not always be what we wish it to be.ButIt will be our brave space together, andWe will work on it side by side.
A brief description of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a space where you talk with a trained therapist to make sense of what you’re going through or went through—whether it’s emotional pain, confusion, feeling stuck, or something else.
It helps you understand and reflect on your thoughts, experience, and feelings better, and over time.
TODO: Review the proposed continuation: supports you in finding healthier ways to cope, relate, and live.
Sometimes, therapy helps uncover patterns or deeper parts of ourselves we might not be fully aware of, shaped by our upbringing, relationships, and even cultural ideas we’ve absorbed. Bringing these into awareness can open up space to live with more clarity, attunement, and honesty with oneself.
We live in a world that often celebrates independence and “moving on” quickly from pain, grief, longing, or even achievement, always striving for more and better—a lone wolf, or a Sigma, if you will. But the truth is, we all need connection, reflection, and space to make sense of our experiences. Therapy values relationships, emotional honesty, and the ability to stay with what’s difficult for us and others around us.
Therapy isn’t a quick or always comfortable process. It can bring up difficult emotions and take time to show results. But meaningful change often unfolds slowly, through repetition, tolerance, and the ongoing commitment of both the therapist and the person in therapy. It’s a shared journey: one of showing up, sitting with what comes, making sense of it, and gradually moving toward growth and healing.
